BSL--2 means biology security level-2 and the hazard rating of experiments concerned with pathogen and the biological factors in BSL-2 lab is II, which implies medium harm to individuals and or finite group harm. These pathogens can cause disease to people or animals, but normally cannot cause serious harm to health persons, groups, livestock or environment. Therefore, to the experimental subjects, such as pathogens and indoor biological factors, the standard of lab construction is the level 2 bio-security.
